Hardwood Skids
Traditionally made from mixed dense hardwoods, pipeline skids are rough cut to 4" x 6" x 4' and are used for cribbing or racking heavy steel pipe during the pipeline construction and fabrication process.
Mostly used where hardwood species don’t grow as commonly, pine skids are cut the same as our hardwood skids and are still strong enough for most smaller diameter pipeline projects.

Hardwood Skids
Hardwood Pipeline skids were our first product when Pipeline Skid Service started in 1953, and with mills all over the United States, we probably have some in inventory near you.
Our standard Hardwood Skids are made from mixed dense hardwood and are rough cut to 4" x 6" x 4' in size. They are used for cribbing, racking, and elevating pipe used in pipeline construction and fabrication. Hardwood Skids can also be used for many other applications including cribbing up equipment on job sites, supporting oil & gas tank lids, and even elevating houses.
We keep skids in inventory ready to ship year around so we can delivery promptly to your next job.
Pine Skids
Pine Skids are milled in the same size as hardwood skids, however, they weigh less and can withstand a smaller load. We primarily keep pine skids in inventory in the western states where hardwoods are rare. They are ideal for the smaller diameter pipe jobs that do not call for the use of hardwood skids.

We also buy back used pipeline skids when your project is finished. We can make you an offer on skids you already have or setup an agreed buy back amount when you purchase new skids from us.
